Originally from Michigan, my family and I moved to Arizona in the summer of 2011.  We are happy to spend less time shoveling  snow and more time hiking, biking and swimming!
 
The 2012-2013 school year marks my second year here at SJHS.  I bring with me 14 years teaching experience in both Language Arts and Mathematics.  I started my career in Tempe teaching 4th grade at Caminati Elementary and then taught middle school in Ferndale, Michigan for 10 years.  
 
While at Ferndale Middle School I coached track and cross country, advised the yearbook and newpaper, served on the School Improvement Team and was the Mathematics Department Chair.  I look forward to continuing my particaption as a leader and currently serve as our Team 8B Lead.
 
I graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Elementary Education and from Oakland University with a MA in Reading and Language Arts.  I am certifed to teach both Language Arts and Mathematics at the junior high level.  Go Green!  Go White!
 
At home, our three daughters keep my husband and I very busy!  As a family, we enjoy outdoor adventures, traveling with our relatives and family game nights. When I have the luxury of free time, you'll find me reading, running, cooking or baking.
 
I am very excited to be a part of the SJHS family and look forward to making this year a great success!
