I am originally from Milwaukee, WI. I'm the youngest of 8 siblings. I moved to Phoenix in August of 2000 to escape the long, cold Midwest winters. My degree is in Elementary Education from Ottawa University. My first job in education was at the Thomas J. Pappas School for Homeless Children. From there I worked in special education and taught fourth grade in Mesa. I then traveled to Queen Creek and taught fifth grade. I'm very excited to have found my home here at Fulton Elementary.
I am a professional actor, storyteller and DJ in the Valley. I have performed in numerous plays, television commercials, and films in the Milwaukee, Phoenix and California markets. I have a children's theatre company called The Back East Theatre Company. I own Magic Music DJ service and provide music for weddings, parties and school events. She specializes in wedding cakes, cupcakes, and other fine pastries. www.mysugarnova.com
My philosophy in education is that education has long been the key to social and economic success. My goal is to make my students life long learners that will create new technologies, blaze new trails, and lead in the new economy for decades to come.
