Resource - Grades 4, 5, and 6
I have always known that I wanted to teach and received my Bachelor's degree in Special Education from Arizona State University in 2001. I am originally from Tucson, but have lived in the Chandler area for the past 17 years. This summer was incredibly exciting for me...I began a new adventure when I married my longtime love in June. I am so happy and excited to now be Mrs. Rowan. The name change will be an adjustment for everyone and for now my e-mail address will remain the same. I will let everyone know when I can be reached with my new name.
B.A. Special Education - Arizona State University 2001
6.5 years teaching 7th grade resource in Tempe Elementary District
6 years teaching 4-6th grade resource at Jacobson
Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year! I am excited to be part of the Jacobson family for a seventh year. This year I will be working with resource students in grades 4, 5, and 6 in the areas of reading, writing, math, and behavioral/organizational strategies. I work with amazing students and feel as though I have the greatest job in the world. Throughout the year, I will continue to implement Visualizing and Verbalizing and Wilson Language strategies in many of my language arts groups. It is also my goal to continue to get into the classrooms as much as possible this year and co-teach with your child's general education teacher in the area of math.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about your child's progress or IEP. Feel free to e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org. The classroom phone number is 883-4151, leave me a message and I will return your call within 24 hours.
